About Marie’s Piano Studio

A large, well-organized closet in each room contains all my music, supplies, and CD’s for the year. Drawers in the closets hold music instruments, stickers, games etc., making for quick access to what is needed for the students.
In one studio are two new Yamaha Clavinovas, and an Apple laptop connected to one of the Clavinovas for notating and printing music. This set-up allows students to record, compose, and play ensemble pieces together, which are all favorite activities. Each Clavinova has ear phones, which enables the student and his/her teacher to work independently. In the other room is an acoustic Petrof piano, and a computer that is used for supplementing theory and ear training.
The external environment does not intrude into my studio. There are no phones or other distractions so our complete attention is on the lesson at hand.
Music and teaching and teaching is my love. I enjoy offering my students different and exciting incentives during the year. These incentive programs provide external motivation making it possible for students to work towards specific personal goals to help build their character and self esteem.
